What to Expect at Tokyo Game Show 2026

This year, the show will welcome over 750 exhibitors and around 300,000 visitors. To accommodate all exhibitors and guests, the event will span all 11 halls of Makuhari Messe, the International Conference Hall, and the adjacent TKP Tokyo Bay Makuhari Hall.

The 2026 lineup features industry giants such as Sony, Square Enix, Capcom, Konami, and many others. The Square Enix booth is drawing particular interest, with fans around the globe hoping for updates on Kingdom Hearts IV, which was first announced in 2022.

As always, Tokyo Game Show visitors can look forward to an action-packed lineup: major publisher presentations, esports tournaments, and showcase areas featuring AR/VR and AI technologies. The indie zone deserves special mention: this is where finalists of the SELECTED INDIE 80 (SI80) program, who were granted complimentary exhibition booths, will showcase their games. For 2026, SI80 introduces a new accolade: the SI80 Excellence Awards, which will recognize ten projects demonstrating outstanding technical quality and commercial potential.

See you at TGS 2026!

They'd be happy to discuss:

  • The ins and outs of multilingual game localization
  • End-to-end linguistic testing
  • AI-assisted content adaptation
