MTS Has Entered the eSports Market
The Russian wireless communication provider MTS has purchased Praliss Enterprises, which owns the eSports club Gambit Esports. The deal makes sense – last year MTS’s Innovation Center called esports a high-priority focus and created a separate esports subdivision.
Gambit Esports includes teams for four games: FIFA, Dota 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and League of Legends. The club is quite well known in the international arena, and its teams have become world and European champions. According to the terms of the agreement, the manager and roster of Gambit Esports will remain unchanged.
Over the last few years esports have become enormously popular all over the world and attracted more and more investments, including some from outside the industry. Our company welcomes the opportunity to work with the developers of League of Legends, which is one of the best-known esports games.
