Localization Voice-over News

On May 26th Oleg Mironov, project manager at Logrus IT, gave a lecture on game localization at the Higher School of Business Informatics (HSBI). Despite the usual Friday night distractions, students took an active interest in the lecture, which was obviously intriguing for avid gamers.

A story is twice as interesting if it features real-life cases from a company's experience and if the audience gets a chance to get their questions answered by an industry insider.

Students were particularly curious about casting voice-over actors, negotiating with publishers, and the intricacies of sound recording and translation. For our part, we were happy to share our experience, and we'd like to thank HSBI for this opportunity.
