Alibaba promotes peaceful cybersports

Chinese corporation Alibaba will promote cybersports disciplines and will facilitate their inclusion in the Olympic Games program. However, this was pertain only to those games that do not contain scenes of violence. Alibaba primarily focuses on sports-oriented video games - football and other simulators, as well as racing games.

"After talking with the Olympic Committee, we have come to the understanding that the key purpose of the Olympic Games is promotion of peace. That is why we focus on supporting non-violent video games," said Zhang Dazhong, CEO of AliSports, in his interview with Bloomberg.

Alibaba is one of the largest investors in cybersports in the world. For example, this month Alibaba is organizing the World Electronic Sports Games - a large-scale esports event that has representatives of the Olympic Committee among its invitees.
